NetBrain OE 4.1 New Feature: Support WLC and LWAP

LWAP (Lightweight Wireless Access Point) and WLC (Wireless LWAP Controller) are now supported: live discovery and assert reports

Looking at this there is no config collection from the WLC box?

How does NB discover the LWAPs? I am looking and NB found the WLCs and several LWAPs. None of our LWAPs have telnet/ssh/snmp enabled and are all dhcp yet NB found almost 200.

Weird part: at one site NB discovered the 01 WLC but not the 02. One of the LWAPs if found at that site is controlled by the 02 WLC that NB did not know about at that time. The LWAP is not telnet/ssh/snmp enabled. Another LWAP that we did enable telnet/ssh on now shows in the failed discovery reports.

Netbrain discovers LWAPs via SNMP get, using public OIDs to collect LWAP hostnames/IPs/controller info. So it works well without SNMP/CLI access to LWAPs.

Some LWAP items in discovery report were produced during live discovery through CDP technology because of LWAP SNMP/CLI failure; WAPs that can be accessed via telnet/SSH by Netbrain won't be loaded to failed discovery reports. You can rediscovery these LWAPs in failed discovery report to check this process.

As to the weird part you described, that is possible: a LWAP can be controlled by multiple WLCs--primary WLC and Secondary WLC. In your case, is there a possibility that 01 WLC also controls the LWAP as the secondary WLC?
