Default Netbrain logic for management IP selection on devices

Can you please let me know what logic is used by NetBrain in order to determine the management IP address of a device. As you know, the majority of routers/switches have multiple IP addresses. Out of these IPs, one IP is considered as management IP for our documentation purposes and also for identification of device in asset/inventory reports

Default Re: Netbrain logic for management IP selection on devices

When a new device is discovered into NetBrain, NetBrain will set the first accessible(ping-able) IP address as the management IP and saves it in device settings.
And for the devices which are already exist in the workspace, if you had manually set the management IP for some devices, we had an option which could lock the shared device setting.
If the device setting had been locked, the management IP will not be influenced by the schedule discovery benchmark task.
Hope this helps.
