Default How to easily configure BGP for a vast neighbors?


Preview Qmap: "BGP Peer Group.qmap"


According to the topology above, use peer-group to configure BGP neighbor relationship shown in the map.

  • neighbor external peer-group
To define the peer-group
  • neighbor external remote-as 10011
To define the attribute of the peer-group
  • neighbor 11.11.48.8 peer-group external
To apply a neighbor to the peer group
Verify via:

R4#show ip bgp summary
BGP router identifier 11.11.4.4, local AS number 30011
BGP table version is 4, main routing table version 4
3 network entries using 351 bytes of memory
4 path entries using 208 bytes of memory
5/3 BGP path/bestpath attribute entries using 620 bytes of memory

0 BGP route-map cache entries using 0 bytes of memory
0 BGP filter-list cache entries using 0 bytes of memory
BGP using 1203 total bytes of memory
BGP activity 3/0 prefixes, 4/0 paths, scan interval 60 secs

BGP peer-group is external, remote AS 10011
