Default FAQ: How does NetBrain discover the network? What input are required for NetBrain to discover the network?

NetBrain uses the neighbor walking algorithm to discover your whole network. Besides the traditional scan range mechanism, NetBrain discovers the network via the seed devices. From the seed devices, NetBrain looks into the network data to discover its neighbors and then the neighbors of neighbors and so on.

In order for NetBrain to discover your network, you need enter the credentials to access your network, such as username/password pairs, enable passwords and SNMP RO strings.
