I want to discover devices through a firewall and map them. What ports need to be opened?

NetBrain uses the Network Server component to access (Ping, SNMP, CLI) the network devices. Usually, all-in-one deployment makes the Network Server sits on the same machine as NetBrain. If you install the Network Server component separately on another server, that is fine too. The most important thing is, Network Server is able to ping, SNMP, and Telnet/SSH to the devices behind the firewall. As long as you test out the connection issued from the Network Server to the devices behind the firewall is fine, NetBrain is able to discover the devices.
