Default Displaying host name

In the L2 maps I've extened host off the switches. These host are displayed as IP addresses. Can NetBrain pull the DNS name and display the host name and IP address

Default Re: Displaying host name

NetBrain does not resolve the DNS names of your end-systems/servers automatically. If you want to see the DNS names on the map, you can resolve them from One-IP Table.
Here are the instructions:
1) Open the One-IP Table from L2 Topology tab on the Ribbon Menu
2) Expand the LAN segment(s) for which you want to resolve the DNS names
3) Select the IPs (using Shift or Ctrl key) à right-click à Select Resolve DNS (Picture below)

NOTE: There is an option called “Resolve All DNS” on top of this table. That could take several minutes depending on the total number of entries in the table.

4) Add endsystems to the Workspace Pane. After resolving the DNS, you can select the endsystems in the One-IP Table, right-click these items and select the Add End Systems option. Then you drop and down the endsystems to the Q-Map, you can get the DNS names and IP info of the endsystems.
