I have a few HP v1910 switches. These are Comware switches that are normally web managed but the full CLI can be enabled via telnet/ssh.
I found the previous post and have setup a device a group for these. My question is about syntax for the custom prompts. I've setup the login in the unpriveleged area. Where it gets interesting is enabling the full CLI. This is the process: 1. You enter a command at the prompt. 2. You get a line similiar to this 'All commands can be displayed and executed. Continue? [Y/N]' 3. Enter a the password at the following prompt: 'Please input password:' My questions: 1. When entering the prompts, does it have to be the entire line or just the end of the line? 2. I see that variables can be used in the prompt (i.e. $(hostname)). Can regex be used? For instance '*' or '^'? 3. This particular device prompt is <hostname>. What would the proper syntax to use hostname as a variable? Thanks for any help. |
