Default How to configure CRP and receive multicast stream in multicasting

Preview Qmap: "Mulitcast over frame-relay.qmap"


According to the topology above, configuring multicasting (PIM Sparse-mode) over Frame-Relay. Set R3 as the Candidate RP, and enable R4 to receive the multicasting stream of 224.4.4.4 for testing.

  • (config-if)#ip pim nbma-mode
    To enable multicasting in NBMA network
  • (config)#ip pim send-rp-announce Loopback0
Scope TTL group-list ACL-list Configuring the current router to advertise as the Candidate RP using Loopback interface
  • (config)#ip pim send-rp-discovery scope TTL
    Set the current as the RP Mapping Agent
