Working on a PoC with NetBrain and having an issue discovering L2 devices directly connected to a L3 device. When I try to discover a single device by IP, the search does not show it even tries to ping that IP.

I have discovered other L2 devices connected to other L3 device and it maps just fine.

Have checked the config of the L2 device and can access it ans see cdp info without issue, just need to know how or what is causing NetBrain not to see these devices.

Could you please do following to see if you can discover the L2 device:

1. Fill in one or more management IP of those L2 devices as well apart from IP of your L3 device.
2. Navigate to “Options”, change the “Discovery depths” to 30, check “Scan destination subnets” and ”Scan all connected subnets”, then start discovery see if you can catch L2 devices.

If this does not work, please kindly shared with us your discovery log if possible. We will look into it and get back to you as soon as possible.
