Hi,
The SNMP string that we have on the routers don't seem to work. NetBrains goes out and contacts routers first based on SNMP string, they all fail when using SNMP. The older version of NetBrain is able to connect via SSH. The new version seems to need SNMP and SSH in order to work. Can you guys help in figuring out why the SNMP string doesn't work. Advance Thanks |

Hi Sathish, SNMP Get Errors may have two possible causes: 1. SNMPv1/v2c community string is wrong, or SNMPv3 authentication is wrong. In your case, I suppose this is not the root cause. 2. NetBrain Proxy Server does not have SNMP access to the network device, even if the community string is correct. This may be due to firewall settings or security settings. And it may be the root cause in your case. Please check NetBrain Proxy Server's (10.220.70.94) SNMP access to the device(108.58.212.26). You can use any SNMP walk tool to test it on Proxy Server machine. |
